I think Roger Adultery said best when asked on Keith Moons playing ability, he said that his playing stlye was like "someone picking up a drum kit and throwing it down the stairs, yet somehow he was in time". Perfect quote, a character and sadly missed in music now, can you imagine the latest X factor clothes horse being a rock and roller?.
