Not just saying this but without your guitar sound weaving through the songs its not The Specials, obviously its the same with other members of the band but you imo have always given the songs that edge. I must admit i do prefer Terry on Concrete Jungle not that yours is bad or anything far from it. I would also say that imo what would be good is for the band to alter things (in the way Jerry did with his playing) like having you or Neville taking lead on songs that you wouldn't usually do or haven't done before. I have a theory... it depends on whether you bought Dance Craze first with Terrys vocal on Concrete or the 1st Album with my vocal version? But Arnold Chicken Shorts it! what does it matter? .. its the way things were done that really Sir Sydney Shelf Stackered me off!

Well i used to go see the Cov Automatics b4 i joined cause my mate Tim Strickland sang lead, then he was replaced byTerry... i joined and sang Concrete Jungle + another song of mine Lorriane up until Nevelle joined which is when i was raligated too just lead guitar for some reason? Jerry told Elvis Costello i originally wrote ,n, sang it and for some reason i was allowed too sing it on the first Album..

I must admit for years i didn't know who sang "Concrete Jungle" on the LP, i think i thought it might've been Elvis Costello lol, i was young. I think it was the Peel session version of the song i listened to most but in any case whoever sings it, its one of my favourite Specials songs i think it should've been a single.

What do you think of Madness Rod? do you like what they're doing these days? as a 2-tone fan i prefer that era of the band myself.
