Don't know if this has been asked before but has playing in the specials ever been looked at as fun? reading between the lines it seems as though dammers was a bit of a dictator, but surely before the band made the big time (or even as you made it) there must have been some laffs along the way?

Yeah on the same theme, remember when Horace swapped places with Andy Cox from the Beat when both bands were on Top of the Pops? And there is a You Tube vid of some Dutch Show were Neville and Lynval (mickey monk by the looks of it) swapped places? did you ever get up to any such skullduggery yourself Roddy??
Theres a brilliant vid of Squeeze doing Up The Junction on TOTP as well and they all swapped instruments, Jools Holland hasnt a clue on guitar.
