Hang on i fully intend to pay and i have saw your band a few times as you know. I have also saw most of the other members in their bands. I was just asking if there was any way of securing tickets early, as like others on here and elsewhere they might go to ticket touts ect and we the fans might miss out. And as the guest list, i was being tongue in cheek, yes id love it to hang out witn you guys backstage, but wasn't really expecting it.

Its actually already being talked about on another forum for another 80s artist! Where else is it being mentioned?! People on there (not a Specials related site!) are talking about flying from the states to Brixton! They're competing for my tickets! Might be fairer to announce an upcoming US / Europe tour if its going to happen.

Isn't it funny how people instinctively rush to join the throng.
Stupid gits! I'll wait calmly over here.

Well at the moment unless you pay to fly over here you aint got much choice mate. But i bet it'd be a different story if a tour of Canada was announced.

ive been reading these forums now for about 4 months and thought it was about time to express an opinion, i for one am a bit disapointed at some of the b.u..t..t kissing going on with some people begging and pleading for early tickets and backstage passes,,,, pathetic behavior,,, when the specials were fist around some of us were to young to be allowed to gigs and now we have the chance after 28 odd years to finally see something that some of us thought would never happen, some of us have been into this band from the start, i will always remember the 1st time i ever heard gangsters, back in 79 as a kid sitting in his dads car ironically at a set of traffic lights on the COVENTRY ROAD just by the swan island.. so give some of us a break, wait for them to be on sale,, dont go out and buy 20 odd tickets, most of which will be on ebay and be selfish. stop thinking your roddys best mate, when your not,, asking for freebies and last but not least enjoy this for what it is, a great band, playing great music, that last statement also applies to the members of the band aswell.

Well this young lady is indeed flying over from Canada. Not asking to be on a guest list nor claiming to be anyone's best mate. Just looking for a suggestion as to where to buy tickets. Now if someone offered to put me on a guest list...

I consider myself to be Roddys best mate. Its a little known fact Im also the eigth member of the group. As a result Ive been rewarded with Specials tour gift vouchers (via Coventry branch of Woolworths). Makes a change from what Im usually bribed...I mean GIVEN!
Cue: The Professionals 'Payola', The Kinks 'Starstruck' and The Rolling Stones 'Star Star'.
