LIKE IVE SAID BEFORE ..FOR YOU FANS ITS ALL WONDERFUL* BUT BENEATH ALL THIS, ITS A VERY UNHAPPY MARRIAGE.. totally understandable... ...there's a very good d.o.c.u.m.e.n.t.a.r.y about the ramones... in it, it's very clear that joey ramone and johnny ramone didn't get on well... in fact, they hated each other... but they had one common goal - to play their music - and that's how they were able to continue on, as long as they did... ...most companies (and families) can be like that, too... not everyone gets along... but the work still needs to be done, etc... ...but as fans, we didn't need to know what was going on between joey and johnny behind the scenes in order to enjoy the music, or to be inspired by their creativity...

Johnny Ramone stole Joey Ramones girl and it really upset Joey... yes, is true... but i didn't want to give away the info to the ppl who hadn't seen the film... the upside is, "linda" (that is her name) and johnny are still together to this day... so, clearly, it was love, after all... altho, that didn't help matters much, it seems...

You probably had that look which precipitated reaction of that sort from others in that environment.

I think they were a bit deprecatory of "English Punk", or perhaps it was just the age old problem of two or more roosters in one room.

...yes, johnny is a right winger...
but also, the band was working really hard to get their music out there... and inspired many great bands to follow... however, they didn't seem to benefit financially from their musical contributions... their "sound" was blatantly "borrowed" by younger and more successful bands at the time...
...meanwhile, this goes back to the other thread about how "rock stars" don't live up to our expectations... or... maybe johnny is just not a "people" person, in general...? who knows...?

The Onion ( an ironic website) at the time of his death printed an article saying" Ramones reunion almost complete!"(Sick I know, but non the less, very Funny). My bro in law in the early 90's worked on a Ramones tour and said that he never once saw Johnny or Joey speak. In any interview or book I have read, Johnny never comes out of it in a good light at all.
