mr byers,,,, (how polite am i) you will probably hate me for saying this, although your idea for a different group for each venue is a good one,, logistically, and expense wise, it is easier to have 1 support act for the entire tour,,,, there will always be a debate as to whom it should be,, an established reggae band like steel pulse for example, in my humble opinion would be more appealing, dont forget ace of bass where a pop ska reggae act...... although some specials fans, are all ska and everything else is doo doo kind of people, some of us are not....

Yes that is what most of band said - change overs - imature young bands overstaying their welcome.. But in the old days that wouldnt of mattered.. In the 90,s MK2 Specials i got Punk bands -Swing bands and Billy bands on the bill because the majority of Ska bands just board me stiff! But I guess its bizzness all the way now? Come the Revolution we will all be acountants..

Do you know the Aggrolites? They were a good opener for Madness, as they play Toots-style chicken-scratch-and-chug reggae, and, as ex-actors, they know their cue to sod off.

Hugh, Do you think it would be a good idea for The Specials to wear 30 year anniversary patches on their gear or have some 30 year anniversary stickers or shirts made up like the Edmonton Oilers are doing this year for their 30 year anniversary?
