I was given a copy of their first album by their manager , i took to hits,n, misses in Coventry and swopped it straight away for a couple of Country,n,Western L.P.s But like i tried to say, they were as interested in what i was doing as i was in them.

Forgot how much Terry looked like Ian Mculloch around this time.........Not sure he knows what he is doing with that guitar either, some nice guitar work from Lynval though.
As you were managed by the same man, did you ever bump into each other at the time or were you kept apart?

Agree about the FB3 albums...It's a shame you never got to release a Tearjerkers LP at any time in the 80's, I was always suprised that no record company would sign you. Did you ever get any offers? ( Apart from the single on Chiswick)

Crap 1st album! Great 2nd album! Yeah, I hated the idea of the Bum Boy 3, but I must admit, that second album won me right over. Didn't realise the Tearjerkers remained unsigned: surprised, there was a bit of a renaissance of 'ted'music (for want of a better word), what with Matchbox, Stray Cats and the Psycho bands, and from what little I've heard, the TJs were better than any of 'em. Roddy, did you ever meet any of Matchbox?

This is matchbox on a foreign TV show- on that same show were madness and The Specials playing as well. Watch the crowd near the front and you will see the likes of suggs, chas, dammers etc..dancing!

Nice find Willo.
Carefree, I liked it, but that might have been because were were pretty rockabilly starved at the time.

Wow Roddy, I bet with that hair-do, Terry thought he was the fourth member of Bananarama

Even tho i did the Rock,a,billy circuit in the 80s and early 90s i always felt an outsider as my stuff was a bit too punky for the die-hard Billys.
