Wellllll..... what if the opening chords to Hey Little Rich Girl just happened to float out across the stage, the crowd goes wild, and there will then be no turning back? ;D This song is in my Specials top 3- it's a classic Roddy and it always lifts my spirits. (Yes, Hugh, I know what the lyrics are about :

It's one of my faves too, but I'd like to see them hit North America with a mixed bag of tunes and let some of those Jerry and Elvis chains go. I saw them in '99 I think it was, with Roddy, Horace, Lynval and Neville, and it was a great show with a mixed set of tunes. Played something by the Clash. Prior to the show, I was talking to a young couple who had heard a song of theirs in a pub (you sure won't hear them on commercial radio over here) and thought it sounded great. A great time was had, and nobody was concerned about a playlist. Even the Stones put their playlist together at the last few minutes before a show. Great musicians should not be moulded!

But about the set list... As I've never heard the Specials play live, I'd like to hear anything and everything Specials played- just for once, a Specials infusion in surround sound-aahhhhh.

I heard "Ghost Town" in Morrisons and "London Calling" - it kinda sounded wrong in a Supermarket? Maybe it should of been "Lost in the Supermarket" by the Clash*

ah cassettes....Used to love the old cassette recorders! you hold the recorder to the TV speaker, ready to record someone on Top of The Pops and just as you clicked record, a Bone Idle Dog Breath on a loud motor bike would zip past the house and it would end up on your recording- either that or someone would walk in!
