Well I hope the new owner of it takes good care of it, it's the sort of thing treasured memories are made of. not now perhaps, it's just a trophy, in in years to come it will mean so much more.
Hope it never finds it's way onto Ebay ;D.

Well in the 80,s bouncers wouldnt ask questions, i had a few near misses trying to get into Specials gigs. One bouncer decided to check if my engineer bike boots had steel toe caps by stamping on my toes..they hadnt - ouch.

There's a thing, I usually had me laces taken out of the DM's at football matches but never by the bouncers at a gig.
I suppose there is some logic in there somewhere but I have never worked it out.

They take your laces so that you won't hang yourself.

At Tiffinays in Cov the bouncers used to make you take off your DM's at gigs! You used to see all these people inside in their socks!

How very wierd, all those skinheads in their socks - maybe it was just London that never did it, we were always searched before being allowed in, but that was comon practise even back then

Laces taken out of DMs gettin off the Bank Holiday trains.... Oh yes, I'd forgotton about that trick, it was Margate, Clacton or Southend for us down here. Those were the days - the bank holiday beanos - do the current generation partake in that delight or is it a thing of the past?
