and we do have 4 seasons in California. It's not always sunny here either and the beaches aren't in my backyard. All of California or is it a north south thing? Every time I've been it's always been sunnyish and warmish but I have only really been to Southern California and don't really know too much about the north. Lovely State though, New Mexico's my fav followed by Arizona then California - I could happily live in any of those

Northern coast tends to be chilly as well. We do get lots of surfers, all wearing body suits though. Southern California the water is a lot warmer. Northern California we have lots of farmers, all the water sources comes from the north and heads south. There are lots of lakes and mountains to explore. No hollywood folks roaming about up north.

yeah, it's big alright, I've done the driving from coast to shining cost thing twice and loved every minute of it - drove from New York to LA via Virginia, Mississippi, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico etc.
Second time same general route with different stop overs
It was that initial experience that taught me that "real" Americans are fantastic people and not all the fat wallet types you tend to meet on your travels which are the stereotypical ones we tend to think they all are.

It must be very hard to keep answering the same questions day in day out on tour when all you want to do is have a quick fag break

Rod's guitar was wonderful and the choons were great - I still think it would have been nice if Rod got to sing all of the songs he'd written.
