Well its for a good cause.... as no ones buying C.D,s anymore,.. Cant belive how cheap you can buy em in supermarkets now! Got a Ottis Redding 2 C.D. Box set for 5 quid! and Johnny Cash collection for 3 quid!! Just goes to show how much the greedy record companys made in the old days.

I always buy CD's because I figure if my pc crashes and I lost my ipod I be screwed chewed and bbq'd. Can't live without music. So after a half an hour search, The Specials DVD was found in the heavy metal section by the HMV store clerk. May I recommend this be promoted as an exercise video. I put it on when I got home and couldn't stop dancing and felt I'd just ran along side Sebastian Coe once it was over.

No one buys cds? I buy cds and listen to them on a traditional old fashioned standalone do nothing else cd player. I bought a double CD of The Beat for 8 or tenner, seems to be 3 albums rolled into one.

It's probably because people download mp3's from ftp's like limewire, and now there's this new thing - Spotify that's come online that lets you listen to anything for nuttin and it's not even illegal. Read that the amount musicians make from the sale of downloads through legit sources isn't much either: johnsonsrambler.wordpress.com/2010/04/13/a-deeper-look-at-how-much-musicians-make-online/www.hotstylzmp3.com/ This one claims to give the artist 80% of the sale of mp3 disk. There needs to be a warning attatched to downloads 'The risk of Coronary Heart Disease is reduced by 50% after 1 year of buying CDs and vinyl instead of downloading files. Stopping downloading music files reduces the risk of fatal heart and lung diseases Downloading music files seriously harms you and others around you. - unless you listen to 2 tone in which case it is perfectly alright.

I was asking the guys at the shop and they said gaming is much more popular than music these days so stores are veering toward that market more now than carrying music. Which p isses me off, because I'm a huge advocate of buying rather than free downloads.

I'd be happy if small independent shops for records and film opened up in the place of the big chains. The chains carry way too much clutter.

I'm really tired of going in with something specific in mind and never being able to get it and I'm not an ebay or amazon savvy person. There are a few little boutique type places in Toronto that specialize in vinyl. That's where I got my friends Elvis collectibles
