As Willo says putting gigs on are a nightmare,we had 150 people in the other week to see the Dualers who are current and were quality but put on Neville or Bad Manners and the gigs sell out, most of The Ska crowd don't want change or something new like The Skabs or Pama or The Dualers they want songs they know and a good night which i understand to a degree but it frustates the hell outta me,still i'll keep trying.

Can't stand when folks refuse to see that good music doesn't stop just because they're not "young" anymore, "everything these days is crap" blah blah blah. I love the music I grew up on (erm, most of it anyway) but also love hearing new music too. And if you think there's nothing out there, it's 'cause you aint looking.

As far as debatable taste goes, then yes please do, but whilst the older generation are still making good music then let the young'uns sort themselves out - we did

Saw a post on the other side about the Taylor John's House gig in Coventry on the 26th - is that still on, I have a nagging feeling it's not happening or it's a private one, don't quite know where I got that feeling from but I have.
