I'm sure she's the same age as my Dagenham friend was. He was from the young end of the original Rockers.

Blue looks nice but how does it sound? Fenders are best i reckon* I was very impressed with the Blue semi acoustic bass Roddy, a Jay Turser: www.jayturser.com/jtb-134.php. A nice managable tone, but also some lovely long sustain for when I need it. Handled the reggae parts admirably too. The only two things that kept throwing me are 1) it's a really long scale bass, longer than my other two & B) it's got a heavy headstock, so when you take both hands off the guitar the headstock takes a disconcerting dive for the floor, though never actually reaches it (Tho' I am a shortarsе so it gets quite close......)

Norman is sixty today, kai yai yippee... Happy birthday Norm. Ill buy a brandy for you next time at a Blockheads gig. Back to Basses, my mates band have said I can sit through a rehearsal tomorrow night and Im gonna have a bash at their bass players guitar just to get the feel, Ive not really played bass before but I suppose if I stick to the tonic notes of a chord then I wont go too far wrong.

I was a big Dr Feelgood fan and Wilko was an influence on my guitar playing. But what a misribble bloke he is, the Tearjerkers supported his band on several occasions in the early 80,s.
