If I could just do my impression of Slavoj Žižek the Slovenian Philosopher.
The essence of a song is not about if I distort myself into something I am not, will you have sex with me, so much as, if I am what I am will you have sex with me? And if not, then we'll talk about what it is to be a man without a woman. Here, is the essence of song - am I accepted in the world if I am honest or am I rejected? As we know, you are always rejected for being honest. But then we come to another level, a deeper level, not so obvious which is, once we are being honest, what truth are we going to tell? What lie is going to be uncovered? And then we get back to our initial problem. In order to have sex, I must distort myself into something I am not. I cannot talk to her about other women, I cannot do this or that because otherwise she may leave me and then I will be a man without a woman and then we need to talk about what it is to be a man without a woman. Because in the end, the only way you can be accepted or rejected is by your lover because it is through the eyes of your lover that you see the world. And then you have to ask well, who is your lover and how do you see your lover, and then we see that the greater society and the personal life are inseparable and you can't have one without the other. This, is the essence of a successful song.

There is also the matter of image and revealing the truth behind the image through song. The falling in love with an image, then discovering that the lust dissapeers on recocgnising the human behind the mask, the song being serial is best at allowing transition from one perception to another while not loosing the idea of perfection whilst dissecting it into its primary elements. So this, the Greeks understood, and put the Superior Force Of Natureess behind the mask making her inaccessible to mortals and so preserving the lust which can never be satisfied and so saving ourseves from dissapointment. This is the foundation of religion, which in todays terms transcribes into Capitalism - where the more money you have the closer to the Superior Force Of Natureess you will be, the nearer you will be to eternal happiness, confussing happiness with lust, you get eternal lust, which of course can never be satisfied. And the conclusion, or the secret; we don't really like ourselves, and the musician / songwriter in some way understands this that while on the one hand there is the hoax that we can obtain happiness through lust perpetuated by endless images of perfection, what we are left with is dissapointment at our imperfection.

I agree but it feels great to write absolute rubbish sometimes. It's easier than telling the unadulterated truth. Who is Ada? I like some Rock,n,roll, but not all Rock,n,roll. I search endlessly for Rock,n,roll that I really really like. But it covers a very wide range.
