With little more than a month until Elvis Presley’s favourite holiday, those left in charge of his legacy have decked the halls, put blue lights on most of the trees and placed his seasonal ballads on heavy rotation.

My uncle says the place is smaller than you think, you would think it was huge being that it belonged to E.p, but he says his house is bigger. My uncle tried to drop a boiled sweet on the carpet to run it along the pile to see iof he could pick up any Elvis D.N.A, then tried to storm up the stairs. He got pounced upon by the guards pretty sharpish.
Lesson being, dont do Graceland drunk.......

Most of the house at Graceland is cordoned off now. I was there in 2007 and really enjoyed it. Theyve left the Jungle Room untouched for 35 years, all leopard print sofas and red pool tables. Best bit was the 2 big hangars on the grounds, one with all of Elvis's motor bikes and cars, really cool, with big posters of him with the car or bike. The other hangar had his 2 planes, a small one for flying inside the US and a bigger one for foreign travel which didnt get used much cos of the Colonel. I found the house a very sad and poignant place, especially his grave out back where he is buried with his parents.

I've always wanted a jungle room but not quite the same thing I reckon....was more of a lots of tigers on the wall, african art stuff - wooden things etc etc rather than a boys toys room with leopard print ;D
