"Just a Rudie"? i vaguely remember it, a Johnny Thompson song . But i havent got the "Sent from Coventry" recording . Yep my old mate Gus Chambers who replaced Terry in the Squad had some very rude and very funny songs! I saw them play a re-union a few years ago and i had tears rolling down my cheeks-great stuff. Gus plays in a band called "Mantra Sect" with Sam Smith my 2nd guitar player and Whippit my old drummer, also a very sexy girl Wendy on Bass guitar.

Was "Lorraine" and "Monsters " the only songs to survive from The Wild Boys MK1 into MK2. I can see that "Monsters" wouldn't have fitted onto More Specials but as I said It would have been interesting to see what arrangement the band would have come up with.

I'll do you a cd of the Sent From Cov lp Roddy. I used to play drums in a band with Wendy, gorgeous lady and from a drummers point of view, I could sit there & stare at her rather nice derriere all gig. Sigh, happy days.............

At least it made its way onto the 2tone story box set, so it got a CD release.

Yes small mercys. Mind you the lyrics were very un-two tone suppose? Based on something that happened to me after a gig pre Gangsters release on rough trade i think? The Girls screams in other peoples dreams as Jerry would say.
