I have read in interviews with other musicians about gigs they have played when they realise that the band is playing so well and the whole atmosphere with the audience is so good that they think they have played the perfect gig. has this ever happened to you?

Er.. well early- Specials Saturday night live show, worked even tho most of us were Space Cadets* Sometimes its the venue and the atmosphere, like the Fillmore in San francisco is always great -good sound on stage ,nice security and that 1960s vibe with lots of hippy chicks feeding us decent grub for a change.

Another lovely venue is the Ventura theater in California, great old building nice seaside town with a 1950s diner. Ill think of a venue in England in a mo.

Only seen the Saturday Night live show recently on You Tube...You were definitely on fire! Horaces book explains really well the excitement of the shows around the time of Gangsters. Didn't realise you had played the Fillmore!

Fillmore in the M.K2 Spareshells dont know if you count that? The Tearjerkers were filmed at the Wolf in 1980s but not the Specials.
