Chris is a star, Ive met twice, both times I was the best part of being Sir Sydney Shelf Stackered or stoned. What makes me laugh is the way he down plays his guitar playing abilities, he is listed on the Madness trading ring as "sort of plays guitar for Madness". Ive yet to meet a guitarist who says he can actually play!!!.

I take it you wont be at the Brum O2 Academy next Thursday then Rod to see them ? ;D Is that next week?. Im gutted I dont have a ticket this year as I cant afford it, its the 1st time in 17 years I havent been able to see Madness in Brum - Im crying on the inside just alittle at the thought of that. If I can scrape some dosh together I might try and get a ticket for the Wolves gig as I dont think its sold out yet. But I have seen them twice this year already so may just have to comfort myself with that knowledge.

No, saw them in the 90,s with Lynval.. Talkin of guitar playin -i had alot of trouble cause Terry said my guitar was too loud, they put a volume limiter on my amp which made it sound mickey mouse but i just turned up on the gig anyway..

"IF ITS TOO LOUD THEN YOU'RE TOO OLD" as my old Gran used to say

The problem is ...Lynval who was always very loud in the old days has now got in ear monitors which means he can have his own fold back in his ears and have his amp volume down on stage- so now it makes me appear loud. I dont want in ears and need to be a certain volume to get my sound (amps work better when switched up cause the valves are hotter or something) Saying that my volume is half what i played in the 80,s but i guess Terry ,n, Nevs voices arent as strong as they were when they were kids..

What dont you like the in-ear monitors Roddy? I met Lynval and he was raving about them, I know theyre like a grand a pop but must be worth it if only to save your hearing??? I was deaf for 2 days after the gigs, didnt notice you were particularly loud but Brad sure hits those drums hard!
