I was looking through my old Skabs photos last night.... sadly I haven't got any from the gig with the Rough Kutz in Stoke, (about 05/06) the night where it went a bit mental... skinheads falling about on stage until somebody put the electrics out and the pub was in darkness, Roddy frantically looking for *something* he lost on stage Whippet calmly keeping the beat going all the while... what a silly night! I was stood at the side the whole time cos I'd had a new tat that day and didn't want to get it bashed. Can't remember if Willo was at this one or who got photos but I can't find any, so if anyone has any I'd love to see them.

Yeah Shan that one was a bit hectic.. just skins being playful na bover.. Stage too low so it was a wash in beer by the time we got on, then a mike in the teeth took my tempory bridge out! Then as you say some twit spilt his pint on the mixing desk and all the power went out so Whippit did the intro to Concrete for 10 mintutes until the power came back on.. Hope no ones got a pic of me me sans teeth!

Sounds a riot that gig, was that at the Sugarmill?, its a bit rough and ready that place aint it from what I remember. I was there too see the D am ned in about 2002 just after I had broken my ankle and was hobbling on 2 walking sticks and trying to keep steady in the crowd, but the Stoke boys and girls thought it would be funnier if they were too try and kick me over, I was so scared as I was in agony and wasnt able to make a fast gettaway if things got nasty. Luckily I knew afew of the Da m ned fans quite well and they kind of formed a protective human barrier around me all night. It didnt help later on when I fell off the National express coach and the driver accusing me of being drunk and wasnt able to travel untill I sobered up, it took ages to convince him I was actually quite badly injured and not drunk (well I was but I still had verbal reasoning skills).

No it wasn't the Sugarmill, it was the....can't remember, Rough Kutz used to play there sometimes, the Talbot maybe??? They had an upstairs band room too. Saw the Buzzc.o.cks at the Sugarmill not long after that though.

Did they use to play the Glebe at all? That name seems familiar to me.

I meant the gig you were at, seem to recall they liked to play one pub quite a lot, couldn't remember if it was the Talbot or Glebe that The Skabs played at
