it's head phones for me. How I miss having a house. I used to blast my stereo holding up to 5 cds playing the Skabilly rebels, Bad Manners, Siouxsie, Echo and the bunnymen, duran duran and the white stripes all mixed in different orders. Yes I said Duran Duran....

Can you recommend a good way to start getting into bluegrass?, Ive always liked the song "will the circle be unbroken", is there any good bands you recommend too check out?.

The Carter Family was filled with sooo much (female)talent-including Johnny Cash's wife June. Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers, Stoney Mountain Boys- all classics to look into & pretty wild to hear old timey music where guitar & banjo can be so manic. Yonder Mountain String Band is an awesome contemporary grass outfit & Allison Krauss has one of THE most beautiful voices ever imho. The soundtrack from "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" has a good sampling of bluegrass (&blues) & is easy to find. Can't STAND modern country music but love, love bluegrass!  |
