whats the chance of the skabs getting a slot on later..., has it been thought about? and what three songs would you perform if you could get on the show?

The lack of live music shows on TV is shocking now, I know channel 4 do some late night stuff mid week but they always keep to the same roster of indie wannabe, lets all sing in the same voice with a slight Hanpton Wickney intonation pretty boy bands. We really need a show that does show off some more variety and give a platform to us older people who appreciate hearing something you cant hear on the radio every hour of everyday. I was round my brothers on Sunday night after bumping into him earlier in the day, he and his mates are in their early 20s and they were playing alot of the type of bands Ive just mentioned on their laptops (modern day technology kids) and I was so bored, I played some old school punk and some other gems I could find on the net (I was abit piddled and stoned), I was then told to tunr it off as "it was depressing", I then had to put up with a discussion that music isnt all about "strings and flowers", or "Birds, booze and kebabs" and that the music I was just playing had a real passion and and if you look beyond bands with an "image", you could really open up a new world of wonder. I think I only won one of them over as he admitted he quite liked "the Pistols" as his dad was a fan. Id love too see the Skabs on a show like Jools Holland, but sadly I think the remit is the same for every show. 1: Get a "new" radio 6 type band to play. 2: introduce some fusty old farts (e.g Van Morrison and an old member of some 60s band) to cover afew obscure blues numbers. 3: introduce a world music artist thats played a tent in Glastonbury.
4: Get a big festival type band to knock out 3 numbers from their back catalogue 5: end show with a big singalong with Jools on the peeannie looking like its not been reheRather Large Bottomd and it is spontaneous.
jeez Im in a cyncial mood today.

Have a mental case in the band and too much flash powder might help.
