why don't people want to see all the 2-tone bands who were on the original 2-tone tour get back together and do one big tour.......2 tone is the thing to celebrate, not the individual bands and their particular neuroses! otherwise why are the specials doing it? just for the money? or a nanosecond of fame? what are they going to be doing in 2 years time after a brief moment back in the spotlight? surely they want to appeal to a wider audience than some beer swilling, sexist, middle aged fans with necks bigger than their heads! yours sincerely ruder than U

who's 'the Dankey'? is that a mis-spelling of 'donkey'? sorry about the neck and head business giving offence. ;D but their intended audience should cover a wider spectrum of types of people than the average ska audience does at the moment.

You dont no much about the Specials do you? A recent convert to ska maybe or do wish you were old enough to have been mature in the 1980s.

I am a recent convert to ska. Is that a crime or something? I thought the whole point of forums was to be informative and make people feel welcome. You'd better hope that i'm mature enough to overlook your less than friendly remark and buy a ticket when you do all decide to get back together. I think the Specials were a brilliant band, but the 2-tone movement was even better! ruder than u

Hi Kenny, that chant wasnt an original idear.. Dammers suggested it - a football terrace thing i think. The Ramones used it years later with their "rock,n,roll radio" single too. As to the onion, well i thought it was all sorted to happen in may and had just about got my head round it. But Nevelle had shows suddenly and Jerrys Sun-ra project had shows suddenly both in the tour time..

Wouldnt it be great if all differences could be put aside Rod and let the music do the talking eh?Life moves on etc etc and hope that all parties concerned can say well we're all a bit older and wiser now so Arnold Chicken Shorts it, lets do it! Loads upon loads of people have been emailing and phoning me saying wouldnt it be a perfect place for The Specials to do a one off for the ska scene at my Ska Splash in April.Maybe, just maybe its not as mad as it sounds as long as all waant to come and enjoy the future instead of living in the past. Whatever mate im looking forward to seeing you again as its been a while, roll on april and heres to fish & chips and ice cream all round @ Ska Splash

Hi Paul, how are you? No Jerry didnt walk out on anybody-very true.. Everyone else must of been mad,bad and selfish to leave such a wonderful band and such a understanding generous ...etc etc..
