I find once you get passed the midlands the people are more friendly... mostly anyway. Down south when they hear our accent they sblack person and grip their wallets tighter.

Yorkshire people can be a bit blunt with you. But I agree north of the miserable midlands the people are usually nicer. Liverpool they are great people and cant do enough for you. You always know when your back in Birmingham is when you ask someone behind a bar if they can call you a taxi, then thats the difference, over here they usually moan and tell you to pi ss off, there in Liverpool they will offer without you asking.

Nothing wrong with being blunt. The Spareshells could benefit from some Yorkshire bluntness!

Is Gynn Square posh now?! Better than middle of town though. Uncle Toms Cabin is near there. Oh and Roddy....James Blunt is a Arnold Chicken Shortsin, annoying, Bone Idle Dog Breath Swear thing workin well then

I share Paul Weller's opinion on James Blunt, who said.
"I'd rather eat my own s*** than duet with James Blunt!"

Roddy, you do have a southern accent, especially when you sing... Have you ever noticed that?
